Education

The Sedona-Oak Creek Joint Unified School District is an accredited school district preparing students from Kindergarten through the 12th grade. With Big Park Community School in the Village of Oak Creek, West Sedona Elementary & Middle School, and Sedona Red Rock High School, students taught in Sedona are prepared for any of the 3 in-state Universities.

Also, there are several charter schools along with the International Boarding School: Verde Valley High School to serve the need of those who do not desire public school. Another great part of Sedona’s learning system is the Sedona Campus of Yavapai College, based out of Prescott. Interested in learning more? Click one of following links for more info:

Medical Facilities

If you are in need of critical attention at a Medical Facility, West Sedona is your closest destination. The Sedona Medical Center specializes in Emergency services and is an outpatient facility. Along with the Sedona Medical Center, Sedona has Urgent Care, for those looking for immediate attention during business hours. Sedona also has a wide range of specialist doctors that practice among the Red Rocks.

Places of Worship

Many people think of Sedona as a spiritual landing place. We see so many searching on their spiritual path that retreat to one of the 30+ places of worship. If you are moving to Sedona and are worried about not having a Church that fits with your beliefs please research Sedona Worship Centers and rest assured. Sedona has nearly every religious & spiritual house of worship.

Accessibility

Construction completed in 2012 made significant improvements to the accessibility of Sedona as an active community. Paved Red-Rock-colored sidewalks were added along most of State Route 179 and 89A next to the bike lane. Also added were street lights that make it safer for night strollers and drivers alike!
